Gold Fields is one of the world’s largest producers of gold from nine operating mines in South Africa, Australia, Ghana and Peru.

Gold Fields mining operations:

  • Driefontein – located about 70 km west of Johannesburg near Carletonville in the Gauteng Province
  • Kloof – Kloof is located about 60 km west of Johannesburg near Westonaria in the Gauteng Province
  • Beatrix – Beatrix is located near the towns of Welkom and Virginia, about 240km southwest of Johannesburg in the Free State Province
  • South Deep – located in the districts of Westonaria and Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng Province, about 45 km southwest of Johannesburg, in the major gold mining region of South Africa, being the Witwatersrand Basin.
