African Rainbow Minerals Limited (ARM) is a diverse South African Mining Company, with it’s African assets held in a joint venture with Vale. African Rainbow Minerals was created in 2004, when the merger transaction with Avmin, ARMI and Harmony was completed.

ARM is a diversified mining and minerals company with long-life, low-cost assets in key commodities including ferrous, platinum and coal.

ARM Ferrous operations and products:

  • Iron Ore Division – Beeshoek and Khumani Iron Ore Mines, Northern Cape Province
  • Manganese Division – Nchwaning and Gloria Manganese Mines in Northern Cape Province, and Cato Ridge Ferromanganese Works in KwaZulu-Natal Province
  • Chrome Division – Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine and the Machadodorp Ferrochrome Works, both in Mpumalanga Province
