Buffelsfontein Gold Mine was acquired by Simmers & Jack Mines in 2005, and it comprises of the Hartebeesfontein and Buffelsfontein mines. The mine offers a large resource base and excellent conversion potential, making it a cash-generating, long-life operation for Simmers & Jack Mines.
The re-opening of the high-grade Number Five Shaft is part of Buffelsfontein’s strategy to restore flexibility through increased development.
